Tell us a bit about your business and why you decided to set up shop in Trenton.

I own a metaphysical store in downtown Trenton. The store caters to a variety of spiritual beliefs. We sell healing crystals, jewelry, incense and much more. The reason why I opened up this store was on the advice of a psychic medium. I was at a crossroads in my career of 20+ years of corp. banking and wanted something different. Trenton did not have a business that offered a place like mine, and I felt like it was something that was much needed in our community.

How has the community been supportive of your entrepreneurial journey?

The community support has been just incredible. People that come into my store share with me that they are pleased that there is a shop like mine in their community.

In your own words, describe what it’s like to be a part of the Downtown Community.

The downtown core has given me a place to grow my business and meet others with the same interests. I have also met many other shop owners and we all share ideas and support one another.

What can we look forward to from your business in the coming months?

I am excited to share that we will be participating in the 2nd Annual Spiritual Event on June 8th. We will also have a few psychic fair days as well, so keep your eyes on our social media for those announcements.

What do you enjoy doing in Quinte West and the surrounding area on your days off?

I am a homebody and enjoy gardening, cooking and canning on my days off but during the summer I love to spend the day at a local beach or go fishing.

What are your favorite local businesses to support?

Some of my favourites include: Rolling Oats, The Geek Shack, O2 Oxygen Bar and J & B Books.

Final Thoughts: Why should people make Downtown Trenton a destination to explore?

There are many unique businesses to visit in our downtown. The cost of items are much less expensive than going to a mall or at big brand stores. The Bay of Quinte is also right here and it offers breathtaking sunsets and wonderful paths to walk.
