Having grown up in the area and spending his school years at Trenton High, The Tattoo Shop owner Drew Arens always dreamed of a life where he could combine his love of art and creativity with a meaningful way to support himself. This forward-thinking mindset led him to pursue his passion for tattooing — permanent art for the body and the ultimate act of self-expression.
Drawing on his long-time love of art, experience as a professional piercer, and self-taught tattooing skills — enhanced by guidance from other professionals — Drew set out to build something of his own. Through hard work and determination, he single-handedly transformed an existing space, breathing new life into what is now a beautiful, inspiring studio for both artists and clients to enjoy.
Drew’s vision was to create a welcoming space for artists, outsiders, and dreamers alike — and The Tattoo Shop has become exactly that.

Our tattoo shop offers custom, high-quality tattoos in a clean, safe, relaxing, and professional environment in the heart of downtown Trenton. With five talented artists available, our shop provides a wide variety of styles, specializing in semi-realism, colour, cover-ups, and black and gray. We offer tattoo aftercare cream and sell tattoo oil.
We also have our own merchandise, including printed t-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies, shorts, tank tops, and tote bags. In addition, we carry skateboards and merchandise from Elevate Skateboards. Our walls are filled with flash artwork from our artists and other local creators — all available for purchase.
The Tattoo Shop provides a safe, creative space for the community to come together and celebrate the art of tattooing. We give people the opportunity to express themselves while feeling comfortable and supported in their decisions. Being tattooed can be a deeply freeing and cathartic experience, often bringing peace and confidence to those seeking self-expression.
Our business prides itself on creating custom-drawn artwork and maintaining the highest standard of care for every client we tattoo. We value every member of our team as creative equals and take pride in working together to build a successful, supportive workplace. Looking ahead, our goal is to continue growing our company — welcoming more artists and possibly expanding to a second location.
We are currently offering a Tap-Out Tattoo Day Raffle! Tickets are $20 each, with no limit on the number of entries. The winner will receive a tap-out day session with the artist of their choice, and the second-place winner will receive a free shirt and shorts merch combo. This means the winner will be getting tattooed from open to close — or until they tap out.
Clients can stop by the shop with cash to claim their tickets or message our social media pages to arrange an e-transfer payment. The raffle will run until Christmas Day.
